Column reactor C-1 charged with heterogeneous catalyst


Coupled with the flow execution, heterogeneous catalysis can gain distinct powers inherent to high catalyst/substrate ratios. MiChS Column Reactor C-1a, C-1b, and C-1g contain highly efficient blended catalysts, which the MiChS research group developed originally. A continuous flow catalyst system is highly beneficial because of the high surface area of the catalyst vs. reactant volume.
MiChS C-1a contains HO-SAS, available for acid-catalyzed flow reactions, such as dehydration, esterification, and Friedel-Crafts reaction. MiChS C-1b is used for the flow reduction of organic molecules using molecular hydrogen or the equivalents. MiChS C-1g is used for flow catalytic oxidation. A special adapter unit (C-1-AD), is available for the use of a hot plate as a heating device. Please contact us if you require these catalysts.
