GFC-1
Reactions using gaseous reagents, such as carbon monoxide, dihydrogen, and dioxygen are frequently used in organic synthesis. They often require highly pressurized conditions. When the gas/liquid biphasic reaction is carried out in a flow system, MFC (mass flow controller) is necessary to control the flow rate of these gases. We developed a packaged flow control device, GFC-1, allowing precise pressure control to regulate the flow rates under pressurized conditions. Customizing the GFC-1 depending on the gas type and flow rate range can be ordered according to the customer’s specifications. Using GFC-1, the Pd-catalyzed carbonylation, radical carbonylation, and Pd-catalyzed hydrogenation of alkenes were carried out efficiently in a flow regime.
